ITS JODI'S BIRTHDAY

Ok, it's not today, but Sunday it sure felt like it. Once again I had the great privilege of being invited to my best friend Jodi's parents house. This time it was in celebration of her birthday. I have to say that the food was great, and the cake was to die for! My daughter had a lot of fun playing with her best friends and all of their cousins. It's like we fit right in, and thats great becuase my daughter does not have any cousins her age. Thank you guys for having us! Happy Birthday Jodi, we love you.

Dirty Dirty Dirt (And Worms)

Last night we finally got a chance to start planting some flowers. Brianna had a lot of fun, only because she got to play in the dirt though. She did more of the digging in the dirt than the planting the flowers. We did not get to much planted because it took so much time to get it all cleaned up. Then it happened, she found a worm! She has decided to keep it for a pet. First she picked up her jacked that is on the front steps there and was going to put it in the pocket. I talked her out of that but only after the entire coat was also full of dirt. We compromised and she put it in a flower pot. She thinks it will not be able to climb out. I guess I will have to deal with that tonight. I have decided to throw away all of the outside toys that I have no room for and just make her a big pile of dirt. She would love it!

Spring is here alright!

Well here we go. Welcome to spring. I have to say I to am one of the guilty ones who can't wait so spring to come, and don't get me wrong flying kites was the most fun we have had all year, but last night was the first sign of the bad that comes along with spring. I will start with the fact that the word "Bath Night" has now become extinct!! There is now a bath every night, and actually she could use two a day. Her favorite thing to do is play in the dirt. But thats ok, as long as she is having fun. This is my mom drying her off after her bath.
Next lets talk about how the storm ruined my flower planting plans, and how grocery shopping is no fun when you come out of it soaking wet. But thats ok, I can even handle that. The part the gets me is the bugs. Brianna and Ben wanted to go into the woods when we were flying kites. They were only down there for 2 minutes tops. Regardless, last night I found the first tick of the year. Smack dab in the middle of my daughters head. Mind you I have given her several baths since then, and I fix her hair every morning, but I just found it last night. Conviencing her it was not going to hurt was the best part. Then there was the trying to kill the thing, that was great to. Oh yeah Jodi, by the way, ITS NOT TO EARLY IN THE SEASON FOR TICKS!

Flying High
Brianna's first kite flying experience on Sunday was a blast. It was almost like she had been flying kites for years! She did awesome, she even got it in the air on her own. She was so proud of herself because when she set down, her kite continued to fly. Oh yeah, and there was the fact that her spiderman kite was the same one that her best friend ben had! I hope we have a nice long spring so we can really enjoy more days like this one. I just can not believe that my little girl is already big enough to fly a kite. Mommy is proud of you Brianna.
