What a Weekend

This weekend was very eventfull. After my trip to the zoo I threw my back out. I have been in a ton of pain. I am so used to the pain that I find a way to manage it. It hurts no matter what I am doing so I might as well be having fun. Saturday morning Jodi Brianna Faith and I went to the square and had a lot of fun. We ate way to much not so healthy food, but it all tasted great! The kids were very well behaved and had a blast just being pushed around and eating junk. They got to play a few games and even got to ride pony's for free. Then on Sunday we went to the movies and saw Horton Hears a Who where once again we ate way to much junk food but had a ton of fun. Thank you for the treat Jodi.

Lunch in the Park

As part of our field trip yesterday, we ate a picnic lunch and the children got to play at the park. It was amazing how after being so tired from walking through the zoo, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches gave them the energy to play like monkeys at the zoo. I was ready for a nap when the trip was over but I had to go into work for a bit. Somehow Brianna managed not to fall asleep during nap time back at the center. I don't know how she does it. I wish there was a way to bottle some of that energy, I could make a fortune.

Our Trip to the Zoo

We had a lovely day at the zoo yesterday. I went on the field trip with my daughters school. We went through all of Africa in about 3 hours with fourteen children. For the most part all of the children did really good. There were some hurt feelings over taking turns in the strollers, to solve that I just told Brianna she was walking. She made it but was a little tired by the walk back up the bridge out of Africa. I am really glad I got to attend this field trip. This is the first field trip of my daughters I have ever been on. It was nice to be the parent and not the teacher for once.

Aren't they adorable.
And they are even more precious!!
Brianna is on the far right in the rocking chair not looking to happy, but it was only because she was trying to claim her post in the chair. We had a blast.

The flowers are still not planted

We have been working on getting this flower bed finished for over a week now.

As you can see we have planted up until it is to dark to do anymore.

I think we might be able to work a little faster if it were not for my daughters love for playing in the dirt. Hopefully it does not rain anymore tonight and we can finish. We have one flat of plants left to put in the ground. Then it is off to my grandma's house to plant hers. Thank goodness she only bought one flat and not five!

We Had Fun

Last night Jodi and I had dinner and desert together and watched the kids play. Faith wanted to be pushed on the swing the entire time we were out. The kids were just as tired of pushing her as we were. Poor Faith, I think she was wanting to swing in an attempt to stay awake. We stayed a little later than usual. Brianna fell asleep on the way home which always makes for a long night. We knew it was getting late but it is so hard to get the kids in when it is so nice outside, and the sun is still up.
